The Empire State Youth Orchestra’s (ESYO) Symphony Orchestra and the Rensselaer Orchestra will perform side by side in back to back concerts, first at RPI’s EMPAC and then at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. We spoke with Dr Robert Whalen, the director of ensembles at RPI and Etienne Abelin, the music director and conductor of ESYO, about the programs.
