Albany Pro Musica: Northern Lights

Guest conductor and composer Bradley Ellingboe, knighted by the King of Norway for his work on Edvard Grieg and winner of multiple choral awards, draws upon his own Nordic heritage for Albany Pro Musica's first concert of the season. Tracing the course of a day and night, the program features the most beautiful choral music to come out of the far north, from much-loved classics by Sibelius and Grieg and the best of Denmark and Sweden to the transcendental harmonies of Ola Gjeilo and new work by Ellingboe himself.

Albany Pro Musica: Northern Lights
3pm October 20, Troy Savings Bank Music Hall

Charlotte Wilson has been immersed in classical music all her life. Her parents were great music lovers, always had something playing on the radio or turntable, and she began on recorder and then piano before she can remember. Charlotte originally wanted to be a concert pianist but just didn’t quite have it, no matter how hard she practiced! She tried many other instruments slightly too late (violin, cello, clarinet) before discovering radio. Charlotte can be heard from 4-8pm weekdays and 10-2 on Saturdays.
