American cellist Ashley Bathgate has been described by the NY Times as an “eloquent new music interpreter” who combines “bittersweet lyricism along with ferocious chops.” Originally from Saratoga, Bathgate returns to our area to guest curate The Saratoga Chamber Players December concert, a program of sextet arrangements of music of Strauss and Mozart, Sunday the 15th at the Saratoga United Methodist Church. We spoke with Bathgate about the program.
