Founded in 2022 at the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, Trio Azura (Duncan McDougall, Yejin Hong, and Yanfeng (Tony) Bai) has quickly garnered international enthusiasm. The Trio won the Grand Prize and Gold Medal at the 51st Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and makes their Capital Region and East Coast debut in Troy, featuring piano trios by Mozart, Ives, and Brahms, as part of the Friends of Chamber Music series. We spoke with violinist Duncan McDougall and Friends of Chamber Music Executive Director Michael Kirsty.
