Saratoga Voices present Alexander's Feast, the Handel oratorio, in its glorious entirely this coming Saturday May 9th. Adapted from the ode by John Dryden, it’s a compilation of the story of Alexander the Great’s feast in Persia prior to sacking the city of Persepolis, woven into his love for Thais and an allegory about the power of music, all with some of the most splendid music he ever wrote.
